I’m so sorry we haven’t updated in awhile – we’ve had a really busy few days, and I’ve been fighting this weird almost-a-cold-but-not-really thing since last Thursday. Speaking of last Thursday, we can finally share the name of Tiffany and Rich’s baby girl. Kendall Jo! Kendall was on Jeff and I’s “list” if one or both of the BoGo were girls. =) Anyway, congrats to Tiff and Rich on their little tax deduction!!! If you all would keep little KJ in your thoughts and prayers, she is spending a second night at Children’s Hospital due to elevated bilirubin levels. She should be released tomorrow, but we (along with a good majority of our readers/followers) know how hard it is when your little ones are in the hospital, so hang in there you guys!
Speaking of babies in hospitals, we added a new page to our blog – NICU Families Support Group. Since Swedish Hospital is partially a for-profit organization (it’s super confusing), they cannot accept donations for the NICU Support Group that Jeff and I started (the first meeting is January 5th). After Jeff wrote this post, we received several e-mails asking if and how our friends/family/blog followers can help us with this new project, so we got the okay to set up a donations link from the NICU Nursing Director (thanks Stacy!). Please don’t feel obligated to donate, I just wanted to mention the new page for those who had expressed interest in helping out.
Anyway, like I mentioned above – we were very busy this weekend. I had a Christmas party on Friday night, and although I came a little late (and missed Ondrea, boo!), I had such a great time with some of my closest, dearest girlfriends. We got together last year and exchanged gifts, but this year we decided to do something a little different. We spent the money we would have spent on each other buying necessities for The Gathering Place, a local organization that helps and supports homeless women and children. It was an awesome feeling knowing that we helped so many families by simply giving up a new pair of earrings or a funny calendar.
And just for fun, a photo of Molly and I’s bellies from last year’s party…
Saturday afternoon, our friends Joe and Jenny (who live in Arizona) came over to visit Max and Wes. It had been a few months since they last saw them, and they were blown away with how different (and how much bigger) they were! We miss you already, you guys!
Sunday we had “Christmas” with Jeff’s parents, LeAnn, Marty, and Asher (and Hona!). It was soooo much fun to see Max and Wes “open presents” (which really means climb on boxes and stuff tissue paper in their mouths), and we had a great meal with our family – thanks for hosting, LeAnn!
I think that’s enough of an update (and enough photos to tide my family over) for now. One of these days we’ll get Max and Wes’s 10 month (!!!) photos on here – I keep forgetting to take them – oops. Time for bed, and time for hoping that the weather doesn’t get too bad, as we’re supposed to be meeting my sis, Joel, and Grampy up in Wyoming for the holiday weekend. For those of you who are traveling for the holidays, PLEASE be safe – and have a Merry Christmas!!!

Awww – thanks for the pics of us with the boys! We had such a great time just hanging out and catching up with you while playing with the boys. I can’t believe how much has happened since that nerve racking day in August a little over a year ago.
We love you all and wish you the best for this Christmas and for 2010!!!!

Seeing that picture of Wes climbing up on the presents really is something. I immediately flashed to the shot of him with Jeff’s ring on his ankle… Can you even believe that a little being could change so much in only months? It’s clear how much both boys are thriving! Way to go, Mom and Papa!

I love the pics! Wes is climbing around so much!
I can’t wait to open presents this first Christmas with my 10 month old. I have a sneaking suspicion he will be eating wrapping paper too lol
Merry Christmas!
