4.05 lbs of Fatty!

Kerry and I went in for a normal visit with the boys today, and as usual it was awesome. Kerry had to pump right when we arrived so I took the boys’ temps and changed their diapers. Max stayed awake for a little bit when I took him out of his isolette, but that didn’t last long and he was down for the count by the time Kerry came back in to the room. I held Max all the way through his 1 hour feeding, which is now up to 24cc of hypo-allergenic, pre-digested formula. The nurse also said that by 6pm he should have his IV removed completely. Just as before, there is no guarantee that it won’t have to go back in, but we are hopeful. They are also both on low flow oxygen and when we got in I noticed that they had taken away the IV poles for both of the boys, so hopefully that means they are off of high flow for good. Other than that, today was uneventful, which for us (as everyone knows) is a good thing.
I just got off the phone with the nurse at the NICU to see what their weights were at at their 6pm Cares and they both gained weight. Max is now at 3lbs, 7oz, and Wes is still a fatty at 4lbs, .5oz!
