Published by Kerry | Filed under Food Porn
My friend, Kate, and her adorable daughter, Reese, came over tonight to drop off our dinner of chili and cornbread (and TWO loaves of banana bread for dessert – YUM!).

We just got done eating, and it was DELICIOUS!!! Jeff had said something to the effect of “I hope she knows she’s in for some stiff competition” when he found out Kate was making chili (Jeff makes AMAZING chili, just ask anyone who’s had it), but I noticed while we were eating, he didn’t say much. When I asked him what he thought of the chili, his exact words were, “it’s pretty good…,” which really means that he was very surprised at how much he liked it. So, thank you so much, Kate! We will have enough chili and cornbread to make at least 4 or 5 more meals out of it, so that’s fantastic! I was just telling Jeff that we needed more freezer storage containers anyway, so what a perfect excuse to run out (or have Jeff run out) and buy some. =)
I couldn’t close this post without showing you a couple of pictures of Reese, totally busted with her hand(s) in the candy jar. Isn’t she the cutest?

YAY!!! I’m so glad you liked it and that Jeff liked it too! I didn’t realize that he was a bit of a Chili chef himself! Thanks for letting us hang out with you tonight!

Does Jeff have a good white chicken chili recipe? If so, I want it! Reese is a cutie…and nothing beats good Cornbread. Yum!
